Is First Bank Mobile secure?

To ensure the security of your account information, a number of security features have been built into First Bank Mobile. In the registration process, a unique verification code is required to verify your mobile device phone number. This code associates your mobile phone number with your account. Additionally, no mobile banking text message returns any personally identifiable information such as your full account number, PIN, email, or personal address.

What if I change my mobile device's phone number?

If your mobile device number changes, you will need to log in to First Bank's Online Banking and update that phone number.

Can my spouse also have access to our joint accounts through the mobile banking application?

Yes. Your spouse must be enrolled in First Bank Online Banking and have a supported device. Each account owner must individually enroll in mobile banking.

I have not received the verification code on my mobile device. What should I do?

If you have not received the verification code, please contact First Bank at 888.647.1265.

What if I lose my mobile device?

If your mobile device is lost or stolen, your information is secure, but please notify First Bank immediately. You can also deactivate the mobile banking application by logging into online banking from your computer.

How many checks can I deposit in a day?

You can deposit up to 5 checks per day.

When will I see my deposit in my account?

While you may not see it immediately, if you deposit before 6 pm, you will see it in your account that evening. If you deposit after 6 pm, you will see it the following business day.

Do I need special software to be able to make deposits?

No, all you need is to be signed up for mobile banking and to have the First Bank Mobile app downloaded on your smartphone.

Can I deposit a check that is payable to someone who is not on the account?

No, checks must be made payable to the individuals who are on the account only. Checks made payable to a third party must be brought to the branch for processing.

Now you can enjoy all the convenient features and benefits of your First Bank VISA® Check Card now with Apple Pay.  Apple Pay offers a convenient way to pay at participating retailers and on many common apps.  When paying from an Apple® device, checking out at retailers can be done with the touch of a finger.

Adding your First Bank card to your Apple Pay Wallet is easy!

Simply follow these steps to get started:

  1. Add your First Bank card to your Apple Pay Wallet by simply opening your wallet and taking a photo of your card, or by entering the information manually. You must have an iPhone® 6 or 7 or iPhone 6 or 7 Plus and also running iOS 8.1 or higher. You may update your default card information at any time by selecting Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Next, complete the quick verification process for the First Bank card in your Apple Pay Wallet. Please contact our Customer Care Line at 888.647.1265 should you have an issue installing.
  3. Look for the following icons at checkout to pay with Apple Pay using Touch ID™, a secure way to pay with thumbprint security or your passcode. See a list of participating Apply Pay Merchants at http://www.apple.com/apple-pay/where-to-use/.
